I am starting this thread to discuss the New Hydros Control 2 and Control 4. It is for people to tell their experiences, ask for help from the community etc. I am going to try and tag some of the Beta testers to help once this launches.
As for now Beta testers can not discuss everything since there are things we are still working on and probably still be in the future. The beta testers are still under partial NDA. There are still things we do not know about either.

As my wife said, Hanukkah has come early. Yesterday my new Hydros Control 4 and accessories arrived. I have only been in this hobby for roughly 2 years and I am not very advanced when it comes to aquarium technology. I have my small BioCube and a ton of cords and controllers for each piece of equipment I have. Hi,
I am looking to get an Apex system for my reef tank, it will mainly be used for monitoring and using a breakout box with float switches for skimmer, ATO etc. My lights (Chinesium) , return pump (Blau) and circulation pumps (Nero 5) have standalone controllers and are not compatible with Apex. I have ethernet to the tank stand.
I have found a Used Classic system with the below components for 330euro :
Base controller
Energy bar 6
Apex Display
Temp probe
Ph probe
VORTECH/RADION...

I'm leaning heavily on purchasing an apex system at the end of this month.. I have found that when I went to a larger system I am struggling slightly on keeping my parameters where I want them.
I would love to be able to have real time data on ph, salinity, and other things like my ato ( I fight with remembering to fill it )
For anyone who has one and takes advantage of all its features do you have any insight or comments I would appreciate it!

I used the old Reef Angel on my last build and it did everything I wanted it to. This build I was wanting to try something new then Reef Angel goes and releases a newer controller. Does anyone use this and if so how is it? Is it worth getting? The price is right and seems nice with a touchscreen. Looking for feedback, recommendations and ratings. I am currently using a RKL waiting on the Vertex and eKoral to be released now here's another option... I am not a fan of Neptunes offering so that...

Edit: Problem just solved. My FMM was accidentally switched off.
ATK has been up and running pretty good about 3 months. A few times, I’ve found the PMUP switches from auto (where I have it set) to off. What causes the Apex to move this?
In the past, I just switch it back to auto and the PMUP works. However, today, the PMUP is not coming on.
I have read the ATK tutorial and still can’t find where the problem is...lol, it’s probably me! I have looked over my configuration and seems ok...

I’ve been looking at this new light switch to control some Hue lights and my sonos system and thought how great would it be if our fusion dashboard (or some pre-selected parameters for spot checking) would display on it. Seems like a stretch since both the switch and an aquarium controller are both pretty niche, but I can dream!

Has anybody done this with what Jebao calls the “newer” wave makers?
The Sow-20 moves a ton of water, id love to control them with the 0-10v connections on the apex. I’ve seen that the jebao/apex controlled commonly sold will not work. What all do I need to buy to control these with my apex? Do I need to do any programming to get this done? Is it even possible?

Hello,
I did a search both here and at the Neptune forums and don't feel as though I have a definitive grasp on the proper way to move my Trident from my old to my new tank. If anyone has any advice or guidance on this I would be most grateful.

Reef-pi I'm almost done and I'm stuck in the ATO
I need two sensors, one for the maximum level and one for the minimum level.
I need to control the electric valve,
can anyone help me with the setup.
I have mechanical sensors and they work, but I can't set it.
I need the upper sensor to stop the solenoid valves and the lower sensor to start the solenoid valve and turn off when the upper sensor is reached.
my english is weak so sorry.

Hi R2R folks,
As probably a lot of you out there, I am confused between Trident, Alkatronic and ION Director.
As of right now I favor ION director more, since it uses NO REAGENTS which is really interesting but no reviews yet (There is one guy on YouTube who reviews it but its in German i believe)
ALSO I have almost all Neptune products BUT the Trident.
Opinions or Experiences?? Please

- It seems to be a great entry level controller, that offers further expandability, for the aquarium enthusiast that doesn’t have an overly complex system and initial controller cost has held them back.
- Control 2 $199.99
- ATO $79.99
- Total $279.98 for a basic controller with an integrated ATO!
- Seems like an ideal replacement for those of us that started with the Reef Keeper.
- At least for now, I don’t see this...

Hi all, i am trying to connect a DDR to my apex but when i plug it into the DOS it doesn't show up on my dashboard or give me new tiles.
I updated the DOS that the DDR is plugged into, so that shouldn't be the problem.
My apex is running firmware 5.05.
I cannot see it on my local dashboard either. So i am not sure what is preventing it from connecting to apex.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hey guys, wondering why when I perform a water change with apex and dos pump the remove pump cuts off before the add pump does. I believe this is causing my sump to overfill when performing large water change like 30 gallons.
New to reefing and new to apex. I did all calibration before hooking up for water change BTW.

We lost power last week for about 5 to 6 hours. Ever since then I cannot get my Apex back connected to the wifi and/or fusion. The light on the brain is orange which form what I understand is what is should be showing. Any ideas? Do I need to just to suck it up and do a full reboot/reset of it?
I don't mind doing that if that's what has to happen. I'm a basic user of it so it's not like i have a bunch of custom settings or anything. Basically just use it to monitor salt, ph, temp, and...
